late at Tate St Ives

A lovely email from the organisers at late at Tate St Ives about an event they screened Opi 21, Oopsy Daisy, Tiger Lily.

Hi Anna,

What a treat to be showing next to you! It was a great night.

We had 447 visitors (a record for a Late at Tate here) who stayed, who saw the films (well, the 50 who could fit in the screening space!), came to the talks by Dr Bramwell, stayed with the dance by Kuldip Singh-Barmi, watched Chloe Cooper’s performance, etc, etc.

It went really well. So great to have such a strong programme to share with visitors, and colleagues here. Naomi and I recognise the confidence this gives us as curators and for me particularly, I know it will play a crucial role in influencing the flavour of programming for the future at the gallery.

Our favourite quote on the night ‘This is the first time this Tate has felt like ‘Tate”!

Thank you Anna.

Best wishes, Mel.
