This is one of a series of experimental self-filmed works in which a figure is seen within a landscape. This piece was shot on New Years day in rural North Wales. It looks at how a place and time can affect or reflect an emotional state. A lone woman encounters a barking dog and a seemingly inaccessible house before turning to view a distant mountain range.
The film was shot ‘blind’ by the experimenting with the self timer mechanism of a Super 8 camera
This piece was shown as part of a compilation curated by Karen Mirza at A Certain Tendency, Thomas Dane Gallery.
